My dog just got into a fight at the dog park. She’s not a fighter. Now she has a big gash on her neck. It looks like a clean cut, not ragged, and no debris inside (you can see in). It also doesn’t seem to be bothering her at all, she’s not acting like she’s in pain. I don’t think it needs to be stitched up-it stopped bleeding really quickly, there was barely any blood on her fur, and it seems like it’s not in danger of the skin tearing more or anything. I need to clean the cut though-can I use hydrogen peroxide? Is it safe for dogs? Can I put bacitracin on it after it’s clean? I’ve never had a dog get in a fight, I’m not familiar with doggie first aid like that. Thanks.
