However, no matter what you may read in the secular press, Jehovah God's standards have never changed. His commandments are that "we abstain from blood". Whether it is our own blood or another persons, we would not take blood. This command is for all True Christians and no matter where we are in the world, this would be the same. Bulgaria, Africa, USA, England etc etc all follow the same guidelines set out in the Bible. Having lived in Eastern Europe for some time, I know that Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary etc are no different than the US, UK, Canada etc. the Governing Body does not distinguish any particular country, they are all uniform in beliefs as set out in God's Word. Anyone saying any different are liars!! Alright, you say the articles are not from any apostate organisation. How do you know? The scriptures tell us that if anyone comes saying anything different to God's Word, is not to be accepted. So my answer to you is No. Jehovahs Witnesses in Bulgaria do not take blood transfusions. The writer of the article commended the group known as "The Associated Jehovah's Witnesses for Reform on Blood." There is no connection between Jehovah's Witnesses and the group mentioned above. They sound like an apostate group that has removed itself from our organization. Our teachings regarding the use of blood remains the same.
