Another Question about JW’s and blood…?

Question by CanadianFundamentalist: Another Question about JW’s and blood…?
Hi, I’m Phil.

I’m a rather young (15 yrs) Christian, and I have questions about JW’s and their views on blood transfusions.

“Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?”
(Luke 14:5)

Does this mean that you are to disregard minor, relatively “trivial” rules in the Bible in cases of dire need?

What about blood transfusions? Shouldn’t the rule about “eating blood” be disregarded when a person’s LIFE is in danger?

Doesn’t it seem that if this were true, God would have little regard or care for a person’s life?

Wasn’t the Salvation of Mankind brought about through the shedding of the Blood of Jesus? Are we not to remember him by symbollically “drinking his blood” during communion?

And does putting blood in your vessles really count as “eating”?

Just wondering…

Any answers appreciated.

Thanks,
Phil
They don’t do communion?

Oh, so they edited out the last supper?
“There are, in fact, more health risks from having a blood transfusion that from not having a transfusion”

That’s tosh; my life was saved by a blood transfusion when I was eight.

They are a better alternative than letting your child bleed to death.

Remember different religions have different beliefs. JWs don’t do communion!

When can I stop worrying about the blood clot after wisdom teeth removal?

I got my bottom left wisdom tooth pulled last Tuesday, a week from today. The dentist didn’t give me a plastic syringe to get any food out, so it’s hard to do that and I’m worried about the blood clot. I don’t think it’s at risk to come out, but I just want to make sure.
Thank you!

A question about the white blood cells. Why do they have a lobed nucleus?

Hey.. I really need to know this. Why do the white blood cells in a body have a lobed nucleus? I know the functions of a nucleus and everything.. but why is it lobed?

A life-and-death fact about digestive enzymes that few people know

www.takebackyourhealth.com Theres an important fact that few laypeople and probably few doctors know: the immune system steps in to help us digest food if we suffer a shortage of digestive enzymes — as millions of us do, thanks to decades on poor diets. Research links an abnormally high white blood cell count to an enzyme-poor diet of cooked foods. The condition is called digestive leukocytosis, and its the immune systems response to too much food in your gut and not enough enzymes. (Natural Cancer Treatments that Work, page 303) If we lack the digestive enzymes to properly digest our food, then white blood cells, which carry a large quantity of enzymes, will attack the food instead and break it down into individual nutrients, such as amino acids, that our bodies can absorb and utilize. Thats not a job your white blood cells should be doing. If theyre digesting your food, they arent available to fight disease or perform other important functions. www.takebackyourhealth.com

My sister just came home covered in blood and I just realized I know nothing about first aid?

She was riding her bike without shoes on (moron) and came home covered with cuts and scrapes that are bleeding pretty bad. I’m trying to clean them off so they won’t get infected but she won’t let me touch her. Some of these wounds look really bad. What should I do?
No, there are no adults home. My mother is working and my father is golfing.
