vet prescribed red cell.
i was just wondering what causes low red blood cell count?
he is eating grass all day long, gets as much hay indoors and out, as he can stuff into himself.
he also gets lots of excersize, fresh air, good feed. he is not wormy (as shown in fecal test), and has his teeth done once a year. he lives a fairly stress free life.
what gives?
thanks in advance.
he broke down nov 07…soemthing with his knee. they told me it was chipped up and that he went through an operation and had it all cleaned up. back to the track…would not eat or train right anymore so that is how i got him 18 months ago and have been batteling all kinds of inflamatory attacks ever since. had him checked for lyme diease…def. negative. had acupuncture done twice to some improvement. she kept saying how inflammed his body was. i strongly suspect ulcers on top of all of this. i can not afford the $1500 gastrogard – scoping route. having spent thousands in vet bills and glue on shoes and new saddle etc, etc, etc i am going to try 2 european products to see if i cant get him healthy from the inside. supposdly great results for ulcers too.
he is on low sugar/carb grain.i am trying immunall and after ace.
thanks karin for your informative answer vet never said there was a connection bewteen the low rbc..and possible bleeding ucler. that is interesting!!!
What foods/medicines etc cause blood pressure to rise?
What can cause protein in urine?
I had 2+ on a urine test and my blood pressure is higher then usual. I’m 38 weeks pregnant and I know that these are symptoms of preeclampsia. What I’m looking for are non-obvious reasons for protein to be in urine + blood pressure to rise. I have heard caffeine can make blood pressure go up. Anything else anyone can think of? Can eating a lot of protein cause protein in urine?
Don’t tell me to go to the doctor because I did. I’m working with my doctor. I just want more opinions. =)
My cat had her yearly vaccinations and the blood work came back low white blood cell count. She’s an INDOOR cat, always up to date on her shots, and has never been sick. My vet did blood work to check for leukemia, which came back negative. She has absolutely NO symptoms, hasn’t lost any weight, and eats & drinks fine. She’s 8 yrs old & spayed. After the first bloodwork, my vet put her on clavamox for 10 days which raised the count, but now that she’s off clavamox, the count has fallen. Any info. or input?

These veins can become enlarged and inflamed resulting in mild to severe discomfort. A hemorrhoidal inflammation is triggered by an increased pressure on the rectal area, but this is not the only reason for the occurrence of hemorrhoids. In fact there are several causes of hemorrhoids, each of them leading to the development of different sizes and types of hemorrhoids. This is why treating hemorrhoids means, first of all, understanding the triggers of this condition, and only after this, can the appropriate cure be selected. . .Causes of Hemorrhoids. . Among all hemorrhoids causes, when genetic predisposition is the most difficult to factor to control. Some people are born with weaker veins, meaning their blood vessel walls are more sensitive to internal or external pressures. When the pressure around the anal blood vessels increases due to straining and hard stools, the vein becomes larger, so theres an increased risk of blood clot formation in the vessel, leading to the development of thrombosed hemorrhoids. Another major cause of hemorrhoids is obesity. In overweight patients, a lot of excess weight is carried and lifted each and every time they stand up and simply walk. This extra load causes an excessive pressure on the anal region, especially when the person is sitting. In fact obese patients who are already affected by this condition, can …
