High blood pressure and receding Gums?

I am 29, and have High blood pressure. I went to the dentist and they commented on my receding gums. I let them know about my blood pressure and they said some medications cause the receding gums…..is this true? And if it is true, what can I do to help my gums out??

I am 25 weeks pregnant. The other day the top of my gums were bleeding like crazy, then the next day I noticed I have like a blood blister on my gum. I am going to make a dentist appt but I was wondering is this normal with pregnancy?? It doesn’t hurt and it only bleeds if I hit it accidentally. Just hoping this is normal and nothing I need to be worried about. Thanks for your comments in advance!

Blood & pus filled sack on bottom back gums, what is it?

I just recently had my wisdom teeth removed, they sewed me up with those dissolvable stitches and the other day I looked into my mouth because I had felt a growth on my gum with my tongue.
It is full of blood and the tip has white stuff in it I’m not sure if it is pus or not.
Can someone please give me some tips as to what I might be dealing with and how serious it might be?

Wisdom tooth was pulled yesterday morning (broke drilled yanked and stitched). Gum is still bleeding but not as much as it was when I woke up. Went back to surgeon, person was in a rush I guess and didn’t see any active bleeding. Gauze was saturated with blood and now if I leave gauze in for 5 minutes about this much is left on it ( @@@@ ). What do I do about this? Also, since I was stitched up should I worry about dry socket? Thanks!

this weekend i was wearing fake vampire teeth to be funny with my friends. they were the plastic ones that are really hard. so i was wearing them all night and i could feel the pain of them hurting my gums but i thought nothing of it. so when i took them out i saw blood and found out they actually CUT my gums. they have been hurting this whole weekend and i feel they wont heal! whenever i eat it stings really bad so i think that its just opening up the cuts again. OH and they are like on my back tongue (but those ones are kind of gone) and they are on the bottom part of my jaw all around like beneath my teeth on the outside… if that makes sense. so i feel they wont heal if i keep eating BUT I HAVE TO EAT! so please tell me ANYTHING about this. any experience you’ve had with mouth cuts and how you got rid of them. how to numb the pain. what to eat. thank you for all of your answers!
thanks. what if i do if it gets infected though? how will i know if it is? and also i looked at them because i check them out everyday, and they look like theres white scabs or something over them. its like white poofy tissue i guess

why are my gums bleeding?

recently my gums have started to bleed, and i always brush my teeth]. i havnt been to a dentist in prolly 8 years. the other night i woke up in the morning and noticed dried blood on the front of my teeth coming form my gums its never happened before is it something i should be concerned about? does anyone have any advice as to what happening, or any advice on what i should do differently to prevent it? thanks

Gums busting open when brushing my teeth?

Unfortunately, I failed at brushing my teeth at like twice a week growing up. In fact, for at least 5 years of my life I brushed maybe once a month. For the past 2 weeks, I’ve been brushing 2, most of the time 3, times a day. At least 2 times a day, put it that way. For how much I brushed my teeth and smoked/chew over the years, I’m surprised my teeth aren’t pure yellow and they aren’t (or deformed in any way) but I want to get them up to at least a very light shade of yellow or even just a basic white. I’ve been alternating between 2 different whitening toothpastes (to change it up), both by Crest. Seems like when I brush, my gums on the bottom or top slighty rip open and a tiny spec of blood appears. Is this a sign of weak gums? How can I prevent this and/or strengthen my gums?

Damaged gums from tooth scaling?

After my dentist did tooth cleaning, he was doing a tooth scaling and used a tool to scrape my teeth. This time, he seemed a little distracted so when he did my teeth, he severely damaged my gums. This mourning, I woke up with dried flood on my retainers, blood on my blankets, and blood on my pillow. I realized that my gums were bleeding the entire night. it’s bleeding right now as we speak. I have school in 6 hours and I don’t want to smile at people with red teeth. what should i do? it woudlnt stop bleeding
i don’t think i have a bleeding disorder. this is the first time i’ve bled so much

I have darkened gums where a tooth was pulled…?

2-3 years ago I had a tooth pulled. Now my gums where the tooth would be have darkened, either a dark blue or a blackish (I’m slightly colorblind). It doesn’t hurt, but I’m not sure if that’s because it’s actually not hurting or because I’ve had so much work done on that side of my mouth that the nerves are basically dead (3 root canals on the same tooth, first time when I was 7 – before my first molar had even grown in it was rotten – second when I was 12, and last when I was 16. I had it pulled when I was 18 because even though it was a dead tooth it continued rotting. Dentists called it a fluke.) The last 2 times I had had it worked on, I didn’t even know there was a problem – I went in for my yearly check up and they said I needed more work on it, then they decided to pull it. I assumed I couldn’t feel it because my nerves were dead or something. Anyhow now that the tooth is gone, I’m having problems with the gums underneath it. Could this be excessive blood flow to the surface from eating some foods that irritate the gums, or an infection?

I have bleeding gums, any ideas?

I’ve had really sore gums for a while now, which bleed quite alot when i brush my teeth, and im pretty sure they bleed during the day because i can taste blood, i have a small white lump on the side of my tongue (which isn’t an ulcur) as well. Any ideas whats going on?
