What can cause a fasting blood sugar of only 63, if nothing has been found to be wrong w/you medically?

This is after 12 hours of fasting. I am 35 years old and slightly overweight (need to lose 20 pounds and working on it). There is no history of diabetes on either side of my family. I take Dilantin 100 mg twice daily; Synthroid 0.25 mg daily; and Nexium 40 mg daily. One thing, though: me and my dad’s side of the family love to eat candy such as Red Hots and Bit-O-Honey. I am on Weight Watchers, but I work such candy in every single day. Maybe my pancreas produces too much insulin in response to eating sweets? Every other medical problem has been ruled out. Also, recently, I had a random blood sugar done right after I ate pancakes with syrup and orange juice, and my blood sugar was only in the lower 90s.

if random blood sugar test is normal is there still a n?eed for fasting blood sugar test?

I have severe body ache always have body odor and bad breath you had a random blood sugar test but t was normal thyroid tes also normal wanted to know if I still need 2 have fasting blood sugar test?? BTW: i have been diagonsed deviated nasal septum in the sinus test(maxillary sinus) so can they be corelated?

Fasting blood sugar test for pregnant women?

I am 6 mos pregnant I have to go for a fasting blood sugar test tomorrow. I know that I’ll have to drink something sweet, but that’s all.

Some people tell me it’s really gross. Is it? What does the stuff taste like and are there side effects?

Pancake Syrup = Molassas or Kyro for raising blood sugar levels?

I have a puppy that is being treated at home (with vets supervision) for Parvo. I was told to smear Molassas on the puppies gums every 2 hours to keep the blood sugar even, allowing him to obsorb more fluids during his hourly sub-Q and oral administrations. The puppy comes to work with me every night so I can do his treatments, but tonight I forgot the Kyro at home. The only thing I have found in the office is pancake syrup, and I can’t leave to go to the store. Does anyone know if this has sufficient sugar in it to balance blood sugar?
Does anyone know if it will hurt him or be worthless to use for tonight? I dont intend to use it after 8am, but from now until 8am, it’s all I have here until I get back home to the molassas.

How can the fasting blood sugar be 106 and the blood sugar an hour after a meal be 85?

On two occasions that my blood was tested, the fasting blood sugar was above normal (106), but the blood sugar an hour after a meal was within limits (85).

Isn’t this an anomaly?
On both the occasions, my blood was tested in a lab. I did not use a Glucometer

My grandfather is 77 years old and goes in and out of sanity when his blood sugar level is low? Help?

For about a year now my grandfather has been having these attacks…Where his sugar or diabetes level goes really low and he’s completely out of it. He talks out of his head [saying random things], incoherent, hard to understand, yells alot, and in his recent attack he kept talking about his deceased brother…Saying “he was coming to see him”. He had his latest attack early this morning he was screaming and vomiting and hard to manage. We slipped a peppermint in his mouth [it usually gets his diabetes level back to normal when it goes too low] he kept spitting it out and it took hours to get him back to his normal state…Is it just because his sugar level is low or is it something else? He goes to the doctor regularly and they’ve never discovered anything…What should I do? After his blood sugar level goes back to normal so does he but he doesn’t remember the attack at all…Plus he’s loosing weight and he eats alot…What could be wrong? Help please?
He has a machine to monitor his blodd sugar level and takes insulin for his diabetes.
